Protestant Wedding in Villa Eva

We met Felicity and Darren last winter after Christmas time.

They came to Ravello for visiting our most popular Wedding Venues .
We immediately had a good feeling with them.
In fact they said that after the visit they had no doubt about entrusting us with the most special day of their lives.
Our couple decided to get married in the beautiful town of Ravello .
They decided to have a lovely wedding along the Amalfi Coast last September with a lot of British guests.

Ravello in summer is simply stunning and romantic, but their wedding day was simply amazing with such a blue sky reflected in the sea below!
The night before Felicity and Darren invited all the guests to their pre wedding dinner night.
The whole group met at the Pizzeria da Salvatore for tasting the starters and the best Italian Pizza .
This was a successful night, all the wedding party were enthusiastic about the stunning view on the Coast admired from this typical Italian pizzeria .

On her wedding day, Felicity was such a beautiful and refined bride!
Her wedding dress was particularly elegant and her hair tied in a chignon was so chic!
She was simply stunning.

The couple got married in St. Maria a Gradillo Church with a Methodist legally binding ceremony .
The church was arranged all in  white : white flowers, white carpet , white kneeler and white candles.

At the end of the Methodist ceremony, they moved all the guests in the near Piazza and they offered a traditional Italian wedding aperitif in the main square of Ravello.
The wedding reception took place in the private and exclusive Villa Eva .
As a table decoration, they decided to have a white lantern which symbolized the fire of their love.
They had  a very good dinner with local dishes shared with their wonderful group of relatives and friends .
A special thanks to Mike Garrad for the beautiful shots and to this special couple that agreed to publish their shots on our blog!

What a wonderful wedding day!

  1. "We would like to share our wedding and experience with Ravello Events. After 5 years of being together with Darren, he proposed in August 2011 in Venice, at the time we were on holiday in Italy because we were attending the wedding of our good friends in Lake Como. Attending a beautiful Italian wedding inspired us to get married in Italy. We wanted to find our own unique and stunning secluded venue in the south on the coastline where we know we would find beautiful weather, outstanding food and amazing views, so when we returned to England we begun our internet research. Because we were looking for a location with an amazing view, Ravello came up many times during our searches. Darren and I loved the idea of the sea view and amalfi coast from high up in the hills and having our day in this tiny place with cobbled streets that had so much history. Ravello is an exceptional location for creative photography and this was also a very important factor for us.

We didn’t know how to begin organizing something in another country, but we were soon in touch with Angela and Rosaria from Ravello Events and they set our mind at rest. We came to Ravello in the new year for a site inspection and even in the colder weather without the summer flowers the venue was stunning! We received a lot of guidance and time from Angela and Rosaria during our stay and therefore were filled with confidence after our meeting that we had found the perfect place and knowledgeable, experienced and trustworthy people to help us plan our day. The paperwork and the travel arrangements for our guests were the two things that made me very nervous about getting married abroad, but Angela and Rosaria assured me that neither was a problem and with their careful guidance everything worked brilliantly.

We were unable to return again to Ravello again between our first visit and the wedding, so we took the trusted the excellent advice of Angela and Rosaria about our menu and drinks selection at the Villa, they assisted by presenting all options without bias but when asked were extremely helpful with their recommendations. When we arrived with family and friends for our wedding in September 2012 we met again with Rosaria and Angela who were extremely professional and took plenty of time with us to finalise all of the small details that make all the difference. We were very well looked after by Ravello Events throughout and they even booked transfers and accommodation for our guests who required help. I know that their assistance definitely made it possible for so many of our family and friends to make it to our special day.

Everything about our day was perfect, the decorations, venues and help we received from Angela and Rosaria with church and venue booking, make-up, hairdressers, florist and hotel was exceptional. All recommendations received from Ravello Events were very chic and elegant and we felt ever since they listened at the beginning they knew what atmosphere and type of day we wanted. These wonderful ladies certainly know how to keep a bride calm and reassured. I know they worked exceptionally hard to make our day perfect and we are so grateful to them. it was our dream to be together with family and friends on holiday and share our special day with them, this was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity and our dream day exceeded our expectations. Ravello Events were extremely organized and professional throughout and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is considering planning a wedding on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. We hope to return again to Ravello again one day to celebrate an anniversary and when we do we will ask to meet Angela and Rosaria again to thank them in person for giving us and our family and friends such wonderful memories.

    Felicity and Darren"
