We all knew since the very
beginning that this would have been more than an ordinary wedding .
We are talking about the
wedding celebration of these beautiful couple :Francesco and Meri-Leigh, our
bride, from US and Francesco born in US but with Italian blood in his veins.
His parents , both from Italy,
moved to New York after their wedding and few years later Francesco and his
brother Stefano were born growing up in the "big apple" .
Meri-Leigh and Francesco chose
Ravello as a wedding location for celebrating their special day.
A big part in the wedding
arrangement have been played by Francesco's mum Mrs Carmela, which in the
meantime settle to Italy years ago so, she had all the time for helping realize
Francesco's and Meri -Leigh wedding dream.
The pre -wedding dinner night
with more than 300 guests took place in Francesco's mum villa .
The wedding day started in Ravello in the early
afternoon, in a warm of late summer sunshine, Francesco and his guests arrived
in the main square of Ravello.
Francesco’s emotions was under control thanks to
constant support of her mum and his best /man brother right up until the
arrival of the bride.
Few minutes later , the bride and her 10 bridesmaids
all accompanied by groomsmen walked triumphant up to the duomo steps, they all
cought the attention and curiosity of local people.
Trumpets announced the arrival of the party and a
special song allowed the bride to the church main aisle.
This special moment marked the start of the
catholic ceremony .
After the religious wedding ceremony, an Italian vespa
was waiting for the couple for a ride.
All guests walked up to the magnificent streets of
Ravello for reaching the 5 stars plus hotel Caruso where the wedding reception
was hold.
At the entrance of the hotel there was a pretty
traditional welcome table made of lemons with a tag of all the guest names
on.
This was not the usual escort card but a more personal
present for the guests.
At sunset a breathtaking view over the Amalfi Coast
was the ideal setting for Francesco and Meri-Leigh
reception! All group enjoyed an exquisite wedding aperitif served among
the beautiful living room and the outdoor loggiato with its
fabulous arcades .
Top table was beautifully decorated with white and
green flowers .
It was placed in a perfect position to give newlyweds
and bridal party a perfect view of their guests.
Dinner was a success but the after dinner party was a
fabulous surprise for all the people attending.
