Christmas themed Wedding

Christmas is always a favourite day of the year for most, so it is interesting to share the holiday spirit in a wedding day  .

Here are a few of the things that you are welcome to borrow or get ideas from.

Have a harp or violin during the ceremony; as people sat down they can play a mix of light classical and Christmas holiday music.

Decorate the aisles of the ceremony using white and red poinsettias.

Use shiny ornaments inside of big glass bowls as centrepieces . They look awesome and guests can take them home as one of their favours.

If it is an evening wedding, decorate the outside of the venue with lots of Christmas lights.

If possible place a Christmas tree in the lobby of the reception venue and decorate it with wooden toy soldier ornaments , mini stockings with homemade Gingerbread Cookie and a homemade Music CD with Xmas and love songs.

Put names on each with ribbon and hung them from the tree, they will act as both place cards and favours.

As a non-alcoholic aperitif drink, you could offer Hot Chocolate with Candy Canes and whipped cream. It will definitely become the hit of the night,  people will beg for more,  it is so yummy!

Apple cider with cinnamon sticks can go on each table along with champagne; for the toasts.

Tables can be named after famous Christmas Carols, like: Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, Let It Snow, etc.

The idea for the wedding Cake can be to made it look like a huge Christmas Present.

The Menus can be  like a Christmas Cards.

It’s a lot of fun planning all the creative ideas for a Christmas themed wedding.

My advice though is just don't go over the top with it .. keep the details flowing true to who the bride and groom are as people and enjoy your Christmas wedding.

Winter weddings

Winter weddings are fabulous and the you brides who get married in winter time are very lucky.
Sure you don't get sunshine and hot days, but you get the chance of snow and creating a darn right cosy spot.
Sparkles, snow, candles and blankets adorn these weddings to create a romantic space during these cold months.
There are a variety of winter elements that can make the perfect winter wedding.
A cosy fireplace could be the perfect backdrop for the ceremony.
Cotton and candles are perfect details to add to this space .
It is important to create a romantic and warm place for guests to feel comfortable and make your wedding unforgettable .
Wood, burlap and other organic details are a great addition to candle lit nights and a variety of white details
Bright colours can be add into this mix  because this palette of colour is pretty simple, so anything else you add is just as great of an addition to make your night so personal .
For the bride, it is important to stay warm, find the perfect cover-up to compliment your attire although we know that after spending all that money on a dress, you are going to want to show it off as well!
