Russian Civil Ceremony in Ravello

Nelly is our first Russian bride of the year.She decided to have an intimate civil ceremony as a legal union which took place in Ravello Town Hall garden. 

The wedding party was very private with only the family members and closest friends attending.

Nelly with her daughter and a second bridesmaid reached the Town Hall of Ravello  from a Villa in Marmorata with an elegant Mercedes class S.

The bride was wearing a short wedding dress, it was so beautiful !

The bridesmaids were instead wearing a short light blue satin dress .

Flowers colours were white and violet for all of them , the bouquets were made of roses and lisianthus, so cute!

The civil ceremony lasted for about 15 minutes while a romantic string duo were playing some romantic background classical music.

During the exchanging of vows and rings , the couple moved to the view edge, they hold their hands and they promised to each other eternal love.

Everybody could feel their emotions and their real love.

Before the reception started in the next door  5 starts plus hotel Caruso, Nelly and her family according to the Russian traditions, took pictures in the most significant city places.

Celebrity wedding arranged by Ravello Events

On 7th September 2013, Esther Orpe and Karl Brazil – one of the top-rated British session drummers, best known as the drummer of the Welsh indie rock band Feeder, and for working with many big name pop and rock bands, including Robbie Williams - were married in what was certainly the celebrity wedding of the year.

This lavish wedding took place in our fabulous town of Ravello and was organized by the wedding planners at Ravello Events.

Esther and Karl celebrated their wedding day with 110 guests who included a number of the couple’s VIP friends.

This celebrity wedding was kept hush-hush because Esther and Karl wanted to have an intimate wedding with their families and  friends attending and they did not wanted to have any glamour or publicity surrounding their special day.

We got to know Esther and Karl well while planning for their wedding and we have to admit, they’re very special people!

Although Karl is used to being in the limelight and mixing with very high profile personalities, he his such a playful person, very relaxed and friendly and very attached to his family.


Details of Esther and Karl’s Wedding Ceremony and Reception


The couple’s Catholic wedding ceremony was very traditional and very sweet. It took place in the Santa Maria Assunta church in Ravello, Ravello’s  main cathedral, often referred to as the Duomo Church.

The wedding day began quite early afternoon very early and the wedding ceremony started at 3 p.m.

The church was decorated with lovely white flowers and white flower petals were scattered along the aisle.

The most romantic moment during the wedding ceremony was when the couple’s son brought their wedding rings to them – it was so sweet!

After the ceremony, the wedding group moved to the San Domingo bar , for an abundance of appetisers and aperitives served outdoors, on Ravello’s mian square and accompanied by the a Neapolitan duo playing and singing traditional music.

The guests were absolutely wowed by the organization of the wedding and thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and music, on the square.


Esther and Karl’s Wedding Attire

Esther, a lovely petite brunette wore her hair in a sleek low chignon with a lovely tiara. Her strapless sweetheart wedding dress, featured a decorated bodice and delicate long tulle skirts.

Bride Esther looked breathtakingly pretty in her beautiful wedding gown and groom Karl looked very handsome indeed in elegant black tie. 

The Villa Where Esther and Karl Got Married

The wedding reception took place in the romantic and elegant Villa Eva, which is reached via a cobbled path that winds its way up from Ravello’s main square towards the top of the mountain.

This was the special location where Esther and Karl’s family and friends were welcomed and looked after during the wedding day.

Villa Eva is a splendid villa in late liberty style, with a protracted harmonic outline which has been redecorated with care and respect for the original style. It is an ideal location for weddings, ceremonies,
banquets and other special events.

As the villa is used exclusively for events, it is an entirely exclusive venue, so wedding groups don’t have to worry about sharing the wonderful spaces with other events, groups or individuals.

Located in the heart of Ravello’s historic centre, Villa Eva is a jewel immersed in a vast 3000m² park of centenary trees and, thanks to its position, the villa’s roof is the highest point in Ravello, offering a splendid 360° panorama of the coast far below.

The villa’s refined and elegant dining halls with large glass windows and doors brighten the spaces and add to Villa Eva’s unique and unmistakable style.

Thanks to soundproofing and wonderful acoustics, the after-dinner wedding party carried on until well into the early hours of the morning with dancing, a DJ and great live music provided by some of Karl’s musician friends.

Youth Wedding party in Ravello

I‘m happy and pleased to tell you about Ines & Joao wedding today.

For many reasons it has been a special event and we are happy to share with our readers all details that made a day like this so different and magic.
We never met our couple before the wedding day but we really loved their approach and style by e-mail .
We were very pleased  they choose us to help them with their wedding planning in Italy.
During the wedding planning we realised immediately they had in mind something special but let’s start from the beginning!

Ines and Joao which are both Spanish citizens chose  Ravello as their destination wedding .

They arrived in town 3 days before with all their family and young friends which was not a huge group but a fantastic one!
On the day before of their wedding they took some time for themselves to have some amazing time along the Amalfi coast.

On the wedding day Ines and Joao got ready in different rooms as tradition wants.

They only met over there in their wedding dresses for the first time in the Catholic church of Santa Maria a Gradillo in Ravello!
The Catholic ceremony was so romantic, our priest Don John did make a very good service.

Ines was absolutely stunning. Every woman loved her elegant silk wedding dress , she was just adorable.

After the ceremony , they wanted to spend some romantic and quality time together before the wedding reception started.
Usually bride and groom go around Ravello for taking  some photos on their own after the ceremony,  this is a a special and sweet moment for their own that they will never forget!

All the guests were very happy to reach the famous villa Cimbrone for the wedding reception.

The villa is amazing and the view on the coast is fabulous.

A gourmand lunch and lot of fun were the main ingredients to this youth wedding day.

Laughs , games and fun !
The couple’s friends were so great in creating such an enjoyable atmosphere everybody  had a great and unforgettable day…
